Dakota Rose These four guys have been long time friends for most of their musical careers, but had never shared the same stage together as a group until finally in the summer of 2000 they formed a Group called "The Dakota Rose Band" in their alternate time from their regular day job schedules for some weekend fun. Since they have been doing a lot of local club and some regional traveling  and private functions around the Bradenton and Sarasota South Central Florida area including the surrounding Tampa bay area If you want to have a good time and hear a wide range of music, come see these guys live! Our Members: Smokey Daniels - Lead Guitar and Vocals Smokey has been living and Playing in this area for over 30 plus Years with Local Bands such as Canyon River, The Brasswell Brother Band And Dakota Rose and Greats such as Johnny Paycheck, Mel Tillis, Marty Haggard, Charlie McCoy and Mr. Gene Watson along with many others. His Brother, Jeff Allen and himself ran a very successful group called "Canyon River " for several years in the late 80's early 90's Greg Slusher - Bass Guitar & Vocals Greg (old # 9 as we call him age unspoken) has lived in Sarasota area off and on (graduated from Sarasota High School) since the mid-1960's being in several top area bands Family Band, Tumbleweed, The Shag Band, Hokey Smoke, Perfect Stranger, FatCat and WanderLust.  The past nine years have been spent with  Koko Ray & The Soul Providers. He can usually be spotted playing barefoot on his 'Magic Carpet-Strip' swaying back & forth and grinning, Originally from Kentucky, and twice a commissioned a Kentucky Colonel, bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky Randy Truman - Drums and Vocals Randy Began Playing around the age of 5 He has played with Local Bands such as Easy Money, Jake Murphy, Brad Conner and toured  with many greats  as Charlie McCoy, Jack Green, Toby Keith, The Bellamy Brothers and Mr. Gene Watson Jason (Schroeder) Scott- Keys and Vocals Jason (Schroeder) Scott, a native of Wild, Wonderful, West "by God" Virginia has been performing to local audiences for the past 10 years, in such noted acts as Rye Road, Devil's Highway, Big Daddy and The Burghs. A keyboard player since age 5, and reformed church organist, Scott has had the pleasure of opening for national country acts Keith Anderson and Craig Morgan, in addition to sharing the stage with Chris Cagle.
